Reinforced concrete in Dubai buildings contains far more than just concrete and rebar. Inside a typical slab or wall you may find electrical conduits, plumbing pipes, post-tension cables, ductwork and voids — none of which are visible from the surface. What Concrete Scanning Detects
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) scanning sends radar pulses into the concrete and reads the reflections from objects of different densities. This lets us map what is embedded inside before any cutting or drilling begins.

Preventing Damage and Rework

This prevents cutting a live electrical cable (a fire and safety hazard), severing a post-tension tendon (a serious structural risk), or damaging a pressurised pipe. The result is a safer site and zero rework — which is far cheaper than fixing damage after the fact.
When As-Built Drawings Are Missing
In many Dubai renovations, the as-built drawings are incomplete, outdated or simply missing. Scanning replaces guesswork with data — giving you an accurate picture of what is actually inside the concrete, regardless of what the drawings say (or don't say). This is especially valuable in older buildings and commercial fit-outs.
